URGENT!! Its time again for our community to lend a hand. A lovely single mum in Cairns suffered a brutal attack inside her home and needs our help. Her home needs to be cleaned out with existing furniture thrown away and replaced. She also needs her two daughters aged 5 & 7 to have a decent Christmas. Heres what we need you to do: donating cash for help with hiring skips, cleaning up the house etc is the priority. This is what we will be focussing on in the immediate future. Donations will be accepted from tomorrow until Friday. Please give what you can, even a small amount can make a difference. Next week, on the 1st of December, our Christmas tree will go up. Each year we ask members of our community to donate a gift and place it under the tree. Last year the gifts went to three local families doing it extremely tough, the year before they went to a family who lost everything in a house fire. This year, they will go to a 5 year old girl, a 7 year old girl and their mother. All of whom are suffering right now and deserve a Christmas which will remind them that this community is, for the most part, a good place filled with generous and compassionate people.
