URGENT!!! Meet Zoey (originally Petunia)! Zoey is needing a foster or forever home ASAP as she is needing to be returned to rescue. She was adopted in March of this year however, after a lot of training and painful decisions the family has decided that they are just not the right home for Zoey and have made the heart breaking decision to give her back to us at a chance to find her forever home. Zoey has been very loved, and sometimes the hardest decisions to make are the best ones for the dog. Zoey is a higher energy dog, who loves to run and play. She is approximately 1 year old and is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She is good with dogs with proper intros, unsure of cats ( I would be cautious on placing her with cats due to her drive, unless you have very dog savvy cats). She is great with men and women, but has been nippy with toddlers so she will need a home with older children or no children only. Zoey is extremely smart, food motivated, eager to please, enjoys training and loves exercising. She is a strong willed girl with a bit of a dominant side who will require a confident and firm handler. Zoey will require a fenced in yard and someone who can continue to work with her on her training and socialization. Her leash skills are decent, but can still use some work. She walks well on a halti. We believe that Zoey is a golden retriever/border collie mix of some sort, so she would make an excellent running buddy.
