PLEASE LOOK at 1582 and 1583 - They were overlooked by the shelter and have been in there for a LONG TIME, but we just got their photos today! A bunch of new arrivals have come into the shelter! Please Take A Look and Consider Helping! MORE INTAKE WILL BE ARRIVING! The Estill County Animal Shelter serves itself and the four surrounding counties, but only has about 20 kennels. Its not uncommon for 10-15 dogs to be brought in by the ACOs on any given day. We MUST keep the numbers down to prevent a EUTH day from being scheduled. The shelter will NOT double up dogs in kennels to make space. Transport, Vetting and Boarding Assistance Available! UPCOMING TRANSPORTS: Drivers Available! WED, 12/31 - Transport to Columbus, IN - Can make a stop in Greenwood, IN. If you are interested in a dog for this transport, it would be most helpful to confirm for the dog(s) you are interested in now so we can get it from the shelter on Tuesday, and overnight the dog(s) at the vet clinic prior to transport on Wednesday. There is a $10 pull fee charged by the shelter for distemper/parvo vaccined (given to dogs 12 weeks and older) and parvo vaccine (given to dogs under 12 weeks).
