URGENT NOTICE!!! Dear Community: On behalf of the Caribbean Heritage and Culture Commission, it is my pleasure to invite you to our inaugural organizational meeting. The meeting will take place at True United Church, 6201 Old York Rd, Philadelphia PA 19141, on Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 7 pm until 9 pm. The Caribbean Culture Commission aims to unify the voices of Caribbean Nationals currently residing in the Tri-State area by: · working directly with the Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs to utilize untapped resources · establishing arts and businesses within the Caribbean communities · securing a center where we will offer legal, employment, housing and business development services · collaborating with various non-profit organizations with the goal of helping to develop computer technology in schools across the Caribbean · developing a planning committee for the 1st Annual “One Blood” Community Awards banquet We sincerely hope that you will join us and learn how, by working together, we can promote and preserve our rich Caribbean heritage and culture.
