URGENT PRAYER NEED for a WORSHIP & YOUTH PASTOR in NORTHERN - TopicsExpress

URGENT PRAYER NEED for a WORSHIP & YOUTH PASTOR in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. His wifes mom and aunt grew up as MKs in the Philippines (Paul Pipkin family). Note from Joyce Pipkin Wagner: This was posted this morning by my brother-in-law, Mike. Mike and my sister, Jan, pastor a church in Manteca, CA. Rob is their youth pastor and worship leader. My son, Rob, awakes this morning in the County jail. Taken away in cuffs by the Manteca PD during School and office hours. The officers that came to take Rob were very kind and even apologetic, they know of our work in the city and felt terrible, but had no choice but to serve the warrent issued by the DA in Las Vegas. You can forget the innocent until proven guilty belief in the system. The complete opposite is the truth. Folks are arrested and treated as guilty, its on them to prove innocence, at the high cost of stress, humiliation, and a boat load of Money. I have personally experienced what I am speaking of, and it can happen to anyone. The charge, is Manslaughter! Its tragic that a man has died and his family is devastated, our prayers have been and are with them. The fact is that last summer while Rob and Julie were leading a Ministry Team across the country, they conducted a service in Las Vegas and went for dinner afterwards. Around midnight and after dinner a very large and intoxicated man approached the group outside and announced to Rob, this is your day to die. The man then socked two of our interns in the head knocking them to the ground and then hit Rob in the face causing him to stagger. Rob in defense of himself, his wife and children, and the youth group, used his weight to drive the man backwards. When the guy fell he hit his head and was seriously injured. The group gathered around and prayed for him until the Ambulance arrived. Rob was treated for a broken finger and the interns for their injuries. The man after weeks in the hospital and months in Rehab passed away. The District Attorney in Las Vegas, after reviewing the facts of the case sent Rob a letter in December stating we can find no fault in the action you took, and will not be charging you with anything. We breathed a sigh of relief. Now, 6 months later, out of the blue comes this turn of events. Rob will be extradited to Las Vegas to face the charge sometime soon. We have retained an Attorney. Your prayers for Quick resolve and the peace of God is greatly appreciated. Much of the Service on Sunday will be spent in intercession on behalf of this situation, and the Family.
