Scope of work: The Meteorology and Modeling Specialist initiates the preparation and operation of computer programs using USEPA approved models in air pollution, water pollution and other environmental areas. Air pollution predictions in industrial cities. Air pollution monitoring and Meteorology. Supervision of computer database and network systems. Data processing of Environmental Monitoring. Developing and operating appropriate computer programs for handling the environmental monitoring data. Capable of writing concise technical reports. Assessment of ambient air quality data. Other Skills: It is mandatory for candidate to speak, read, and write English fluently and shall hold a valid driver’s license. ############################################################### **Chemist: (2-Positions) ------------------------ Required Qualification: Shall be a degree holder in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry (or similar scientific discipline) Experience: minimum of two years experience in working in an environmental/public health laboratory Scope of work: The Chemist is responsible for the chemical analysis of water, wastewater, and other types of environmental samples collected as part of the Environmental Monitoring Program. Performs wet chemistry and instrumental methods of analysis and develops and manages the sample bottle preparation, sample identification, sample storage and handling and chain of custody systems. Familiarity with US EPA analytical and QAJQC procedures and AWWA Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater Analysis is an advantage. Shall be responsible for the review of results, report preparation and computer data entry. Other Skills: It is mandatory for candidate to speak, read and write English fluently. ############################################################## **Maintenance Technician (2 - Positions) ---------------------------------------- Required Qualification: Shall be a degree holder in Electronics Engineering Experience: minimum of two years experience in air sampling with automatic equipment Scope of work: Assist maintenance Supervisor in maintenance and calibration of air quality, meteorological monitoring equipment and laboratory analytical instruments and equipment, wireless communication and collecting data from air quality station to central network station. Other Skills: Must be fluent in English and able to write concise technical reports and candidate shall hold a valid driver’s license. ############################################################### **Marine Technician (1-Position) -------------------------------- Required Qualification: Shall be a degree holder in Marine Biology or other related field Experience: minimum of two years experience in air implementing marine programs prepared by Meteorology and Modeling specialist Scope of work: Shall perform seawater sampling, analysis, boat driving and maintenance of marine field equipment and boat Other Skills: Must be fluent in English and able to write reports and experience in handling latest sophisticated marine field and laboratory equipment. Should have diving experience as well. ############################################################### **Water Quality Technician (1-Position) --------------------------------------- Required Qualification: Shall be a degree holder or diploma in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Environmental Science (or similar scientific qualification) Experience: minimum two (2) year experience in the field of laboratory analysis or environmental sampling and analysis. Scope of work: Water Technicians are involved in the collection of environmental samples required by the Environmental Monitoring Program. Water samples to be collected may include various water samples: costal water, industrial wastewater, sanitary wastewater, cooling water, groundwater, irrigation water, portable water and storm water. Other types of samples may include: industrial waste, soils, sediments and stack gas samples. Carry out field tests with portable test kits and equipment; and record and report the results and observations. Many of the samples will require to enter industrial sites and cooperate with on-site staff. Other Skills: It is mandatory that candidates speak, read, and write English fluently and hold a valid driver’s license. Skills ############################################################### **Air Quality Technician (2 - Positions) ---------------------------------------- Required Qualification: Shall be a degree holder or diploma in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology Environmental Science (or similar scientific qualification) Experience: at least two (2) years supervisory experience in air quality monitoring, meteorology or air pollution control Scope of Work: The Air Quality and Meteorology Technician assists Scientists in data processing, data analysis and reporting of air pollution and meteorological parameters measured by the air quality/meteorological monitoring network. duties also include assisting the air quality/ meteorology scientists with operation of the mobile air quality monitoring system and system and servicing the inhalable suspended particulate filters located at the air quality monitoring stations. Other Skills: Good writing skills and fluency in both written and spoken English is a must and candidate shall hold a valid drivers license. ################################################################ **Driver/ Boat Operator (1-Position) ------------------------------------ Required Qualification Hold a valid drivers license is required Experience Shall be capable of operating a variety of vehicles including small buses and 4x4 trucks and boats. Scope of Work The Driver/Boat Operator drives the vehicles taking staff to and from work, driving to the airport and making collections and deliveries in Ras AI-Khair, Jubail and Dammam/Khobar.
