URGENT: This precious little boys name is Ryan. He is 2 yrs old and he is my great grandson. Ryan has had some tough times. He was born with a cleft lip and at 5 months old had to have that repaired. His mother was young and unable to cope with all the problems. His father has a Tramatic Brain Injury and has the capacity of a 13 yr old and knew nothing about the child until he was a year old. His mother lost him to CPS in an undisclosed county in Indiana. Without trying to contact his extended family, CPS placed him with a foster family with the intention of that family adopting him which is not according to Indiana guidelines . This would prevent his father from ever knowing him and he really wants to know his son. After we found out what was happening, my husband and I were going to try to adopt him, but we are in our 70s and in ill health so that was impossible. Our granddaughter and her husband (Ryans Aunt and Uncle on his fathers side) want to adopt Ryan. They have gone through the required CPS classes and are able to be certified as foster parents in another county, but the CPS in our county is still determined to do their own thing, so they are fighting us. We have an excellent adoption attorney, but it will now cost around $8,000.00 because CPS doesnt want to admit that they were wrong. My Granddaughter and her husband are both hard working Christian parents of 2 small girls and would love him as their own. The father and mother both signed adoption papers over to them before the court terminated their parental rights, but the Welfare Dept. refuses to recognize this. Within 20 days, we need another $3,500 to keep our Attorney. Please help us bring this little boy back to his biological family, because Family is everything. Even if you can only spare a dollar, it will be appreciated and everything collected will go to this precious little boys aid. Any prayers that you can say for our family will be appreciated also.
