** URGENT WARNING ** northyorkshire.police.uk/13635 ** PLEASE LIKE / COMMENT / SHARE THIS POST to help us spread the word, and WARN ELDERLY FAMILY OR NEIGHBOURS ** At around 11.30am this morning, a man called at the home of an man in his 80s in Bramham Avenue, York, claiming he was from the water board and needed to check his taps. He got the elderly resident to turn on his kitchen taps and empty a basin of water into a drain outside. During this time, the suspect searched the victims house and stole an amount of cash. The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s with a tanned complexion, and a small dark moustache. He was around 6ft tall and of very slim build, He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, and dark coloured short sleeved shirt, trousers and shoes.
