URHOBO MUST RESPECT THE WISH OF UPU- GROUP *****Says Aziza Died For The Course of Urhobo ***Berates Nwaoboshi For Hastily Forgetting His Root The Delta Central Elites Forum, a socio-political pressure group at the vanguard of the crusade for a governor of Urhobo origin has called on all Urhobos not to be swayed by the antics of detractors who claim Urhobo is promoting ethnic agenda ahead of 2015. It noted that nobody can better fight Urhobo course than the Urhobos themselves. The group said the ANIOMA AGENDA has hit up the polity more than the UWIAMUGES DECLARATION. It wondered what made some benefactors of Urhobo to think Urhobo has lost the moral clout to champion their own cause. You see, some persons are sarcastically mischievous. I dont know what their business about Urhobo is. Ethnic sentiment and alliances have always characterised Delta politics. We have the G3 in the South, Anioma Agenda in the North and now that our common umbrella; the UPU is mobilizing its own, some persons are crying wolfs, it said. In a press conference with journalist in Warri, the Coordinator of the group, Warri Dennis urged all Urhobos to stand firm. It commended the Publicity Secretary of the Urhobo Progress Union for standing for the Urhobo course, stressing that Aziza would be nodding his head in solidarity in heaven. Dennis noted that the only way to make it in 2015 is for the Urhobo to be united ahead. According to him, politics is a game of numerical strength and the Urhobo which account for over 51% of Delta population has it. He wept that Urhobo have always pulled the decisive vote since the inception of democratic government in the state but, for poor defence of their votes. He however warned that 2015 will not be business as usual because the people have realised where they got it wrong in the past. One major source of worry to me is the activities of some persons in the Urhobo nation. Their quest for personal agenda has made them forget their past so soon. They go about their benefactors in the North begging them to run in 2015. These are political jesters anyway. They are looking for their daily bread in a most nauseating manner. They claim to be Urhobo but we are still probing the Urhoboness in them. Some are foreigners whose grand fathers were adopted in the past. These persons would always no doubt behave in the most crude way. We pity those out there who would take them serious because they are after your purse! We wish to warn them that they are too minute to sabotage our collective efforts. Very soon nature will go after them. Repent now before it is too late, Dennis admonished. The Delta Central Elites Forum called on all Urhobo sons and daughters to go out and preach the Urhobo course. It emphasised that this is a course for every one. We must close party ranks and follow one path. I am calling on all media group of Urhobo appellation to preach and stand for the Urhobo course. You must not derail and you must not sell out. Wither PDP or APC what counts is the Urhobo interest. We should avoid Greek gift because that is why we are where we are today. Imagine Urhobo going out to beg where God has made them head. Our people can barely get to the post of a director in the ministry before they are compulsorily retired. Our qualified youths have no place in the state civil service. We suffer continual neglect and underfunding. Our enlightened youths have turned errand boys against their conscience. Please wake up Urhobo, Dennis lamented. In the same vein the Delta Central Elites Forum courted the State Chairman of the PDP, Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi to be mindful of his utterances saying his busy bodied meddling into the affairs of Urhobo should be stopped. It called on him to concentrate on the duties of managing his party and join his people in their Anioma Agenda. The group wondered what Urhobo are still doing in the PDP when the head is already rotten. It quarried that for a party chairman who is supposed to be the father of all his party members irrespective of ethnic colouration to come out in the open to say the Urhobo have not voted for the PDP since 1999 calls for self reassessment. The group challenged all Urhobo politicians to look into the direction of the APC as the only credible alternative left for them. I am worried that Peter Nwaoboshi has turned against the finger that fed him. If he is such a poor student of history then he should go for fact verification. We thank our highly respected leader, Dr. Wilson Omene for providing him much documents to verify facts. Nwaoboshi should know he has not led his party to unquestionable victory before now, Dennis reminded.
