US 68 Improvements for Green and Metcalfe Counties Elizabethtown, Ky. (July 14, 2014)—Two public meetings are scheduled for discussing improvements to US 68 in Green and Metcalfe Counties. Details for both meetings are listed below: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 Green County 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST Greensburg Baptist Church-Christian Life Center Greensburg, KY 42743 Road Thursday, July 31, 2014 Metcalfe County 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST Sulphur Well Community Center 51 Sulphur Well County Park Road Edmonton, KY 42129 Brief presentations will begin approximately 5:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. with a come and go format for both meetings. Resulting from the information collected during the public meetings in February, 2014, the improvements to US 68 between Edmonton and Greensburg in Metcalfe and Green Counties and the Greensburg Connector continue to progress through the planning process. Those who attend will have the opportunity to review US 68 Planning Study findings and discuss potential alternative solutions for the Greensburg Connector and for spot improvements along US 68. Concerns and comments will be gathered and presented to project planning team members. Handouts containing information about the project and the different improvement alternatives, comment sheets with a questionnaire, and displays will be available at the meeting. Representatives from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be available to answer any questions. Written comments will be accepted during the meeting and up to 15 days after the meeting at the District Four Office listed below. Written comments from this meeting will become part of the official record for the project. Once compiled, the meeting record will be available for review and copy only after an Open Records Request has been received and approved. All Open Records Requests must be submitted to the Office of Legal Services, Transportation Cabinet Office Building, 200 Mero Street, Frankfort, Kentucky, 40622.
