US GOV FACTS...Learn and know what everyone is talking about! FIRST, remember by Constitutional Law, the House enacts ALL SPENDING BILLS, POTUS CAN NOT. THE DEFICIT: The difference between the amount of revenue coming in (taxes) and what the government spends and must spend by law. FACT: With NO help from GOP in House or Senate, President Obama has cut the Deficit in half! What was over a Trillion Bucks is now approx 600 Billion Bucks. How did the Deficit get so big prior to President Obama taking office? Two unfunded wars that Congress did NOT include in the Deficit (hidden from American people), plus the GOP law enacting Medicare Advantage which was for Insurance Companies and also hidden. President Obama insisted these debts were added into the DEFICIT for his Presidency. Ending the tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans, against GOP wishes but eventually enacted, brought down the Deficit with the additional revenue into the pot. THE NATIONAL DEBT: The SUM total of ALL MONIES spent by EVERY CONGRESS & Budgets requested by EVERY PRESIDENT since America became The United States of America. The DEBT has NOTHING to do with the DEFICIT!
