US President Barack Obama on Tuesday called British Prime Minister David Cameroon to discuss with him the crucial bilateral security agreement with Afghanistan and the current situation in that country. During the telephonic conversation, Cameroon briefed the US president on the trilateral summit he had with President Hamid Karzai and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in London last month. The two leaders reviewed the situation in Afghanistan, including the status of the US-Afghanistan Bilateral Security Agreement,” the White House said. Obama commended Camerons efforts to support consultations between Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to a statement from the White House, they discussed their support for talks between world leaders and Iran over its nuclear programme. The dialogue is scheduled to resume next week.
