USA, Christian State? Freedom is the fundamental element of the Constitution of the United States of America. In Islam there is no freedom; apostasy is punishable by death, meaning there is no freedom even in one’s relationship with his/her God. FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY, HUMAN RIGHTS, EQUALITY, TOLERANCE AND SIMPLE DICENCY ARE A COMBINATION FOUND IN CHRISTIANITY and are also implemented in the Constitution. Besides, the vast majority of the American population, are Christians. Patrick Henry, the patriot and founding father of our country said. “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religion but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am not saying that the USA is a Christian state in its strict meaning, I recognize the claim “separation of church and government”, which I could not find in the Constitution. May be, I missed it. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” John 19:36 My point is, we Christians’ aim is the Kingdom of Heaven. But, that does not allow us, by any means, to neglect our kingdom on earth, which is the Word of God Jesus the Christ. John James, the first Supreme Court judge, who was appointed by George Washington said, the USA is a Christian nation. In the 1892 Supreme Court ruling in Church of the Holy Trinity vs. U.S. (citing 87 precedents), “Our laws and our institutions must necessary be based upon and embody the teaching of the Redeemer of Mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.” Throughout history, the U.S. Supreme court continually cited previous cases in order to maintain our Christian Constitution. However, in 1962, for the first time in American history, the court cited no previous cases and ruled in Engel vs. Vitale that, because of separation of Church and State the government needed to be separated from Christian principles. I wonder what Christian principles are against freedom, peace and love? What is the real reason for trying to ban Christianity? James Madison, the fourth president, known as “The father of our Constitution” made the following statement: “We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each of all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the ten commandments of God.” Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural address, like the Gettysburg Address, brief yet profound. Packed in those 700 powerful words were 14 references to God. He mentioned the Bible once, quoted it twice (Palm 19:9; Mathew 18:70. “In God we Trust”, first appeared on Us coins in 1864 According to the Treasury Department’s website, “ In God we trust” was inscribed on Us coins “largely because of the increased religious existing during the Civil War.” As you walk up the steps to the building, which houses the U.S. Supreme Court you can see near the top Moses holding the Ten Commandments. As you enter the Supreme Court, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on the lower portion of each door. Right above where the Supreme Court judges sit is the Ten Commandments are displayed. There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C. Satanic forces are attacking our young, strong and prosperous country. They want to destroy the high principles and standard of civilization, which was lead by this country which was bought by the blood of brave men and women who fought and are still fighting to protect them. WE CANNOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
