USA | Document Management Internship Description Rolls-Royce, a world-leading provider of power systems and services for use on land, at sea and in the air, operates in four global markets - civil aerospace, defense aerospace, and marine. We continue to invest in core technologies, products, people and capabilities with the objective of broadening and strengthening the product portfolio, improving efficiency and enhancing the environmental performance of its products. The Document Management Intern will work in the Product Configuration Service (PCS). An intern will gain an understanding of the tasks that the PCS performs to support design and manufacturing engineering. This will include the lifecycle management of Rolls-Royce documents, drawings and supporting information. During this internship, an intern will become familiar with the processes, procedures and tasks that are required to manage Rolls-Royce documents and ensure the documents comply with federal regulatory and business requirements. The Intern will also acquire an understanding of the principles and practices of Document & Records Management as well as best practices and standards for organization, storage, retrieval, retention, archiving and management of electronic and paper documents. In addition, PCS has taken the initiative to develop Microsoft SharePoint sites. The sites will be accessed by both internal and external customers that will require different access controls and advanced functionality to deliver information to ourselves, customers, and suppliers. The Intern will work with a team to maintain current sites, evaluate these sites and work with key stakeholders to capture requirements for enhancements. For new sites, the intern will participate in meetings and work as part of the design team. The intern will be involved in the life cycle of a project from inception to completion - time permitting, which includes: brainstorming, evaluation (process change board), testing, documentation (process development, training material & communication) and roll out.
