USA ON SOMALIA UPDATE: The renewal hope of America ready to assist Somalia is indeed a welcome news. Hon. Windy Sherman, US Undersecretary for political affairs who spoke to diplomats & Diaspora Somali Americans with in depth analysis on the political affairs of Somalia for close to half hour about Somalia shows how serious America is ready to help the people of Somalia help themselves. Her theme; SOMALIS MUST CHOOSE WHETHER THEY WANT TO BE CLANS WHO FIGHT AMONGST THEMSELVES OR BE A NATION THAT CAN BUILD ITS COUNTY FROM THE BOTTOM UP - The world will help the Somalia that can build itself not the one thats fighting against clanlines...thats an innocent argument that needs to be taken with serious consideration. On a different note: While its good & welcome news to have or be appointed USA a possible Somali-#American #Ambassador to Somalia, its very highly & unlikely such appointment may occur within the Somali American Diaspora. Somali political issues are very complex and the tribal dynamics are very sensitive where a #Somali-American may not be able to play the best interest of American foreign diplomacy & for both worlds for that matter.
