USAID Regional Economic Cooperation (REC) project is looking for an Export Partnerships Specialist who will help to build and reinforce Export Partnership Groups (EPG) and cultivate new groups so that participating firms increase their exports. This is a full time, long-term position ending in March 2015, based in Almaty office, Kazakhstan. Responsibilities: assist Component 1 Leader in marketing, event planning, reporting, relationship development, and all other component activities; organize and coordinate logistics and technical content for EPG workshops; coordinate with EPG members to facilitate support or technical assistance; support all technical activities within Component 1, holding responsibility for the quality, cost, and scope of deliverables, as well as alignment with REC’s annual work plan and the related technical products of REC’s other activities. Qualifications: This professional will possess the following attributes: • University degree in business administration, international relations, economics, marketing, or other relevant field; • At least 3 years of work experience with business and entrepreneurship development in Central Asia; • Experience with event planning and logistical coordination among diverse groups of stakeholders, preferably in the private sector; • Knowledge of the Central Asian context for trade and business development; • Experience in assessing the capacity of businesses across the region; • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with local organizations; • International donor-funded project experience desired; • Demonstrated ability to work productively within the team, managing conflict and managing for tangible results defined by the work plan; • Fluent Russian and proficiency in English required.
