USAID promotes Pakistan mangoes United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is creating a gateway to economic opportunities for the Pakistani mango in the international export markets. The USAID through its Firms Project has to-date assisted three sea shipments during the current harvesting season carrying over 60 tonnes of Sindhri mango variety to United Kingdom and Holland, two of these shipments have left the port and the third is in progress. Shipments worth $0.12 million have been sent from three USAID supported SME (small and medium enterprises) farms in Sindh, namely Mustafa Agriculture Farm, Rangoonwala Mango Farm and MAS Farm. Shipments of premium quality mangoes sent to high-end European and UK markets have materialised from an intensive identification process, creation of market linkages and participation at international events such as the Fruit Logistica in Berlin.
