USMAPS Soccer: (1-7 September 2014) The USMAPS soccer team had its first away game of the season in Blairstown, NJ against Blair Academy on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Due to the weather, the referees had to call off the contest but not before the Vanguards were able to tie the game. The USMAPS soccer team went down to Blair early 1-0, but was able to stick to what they practiced and tie the game when Martin Lasprilla assisted Tesfaye Larmey in the 16th minute. The USMAPS soccer team will look to continue to build upon their recent successes and capitalize against SUNY Orange, Westchester CC, and Yale’s club soccer team next week. The Vanguards will host SUNY Orange on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and Yale’s club soccer team on Saturday, September 13, 2014, while traveling to Westchester CC on Friday, September 12, 2014.
