USMC CH46 While traveling recently, we visited a facility that had on display this relic from my Vietnam years...45 years ago. Perhaps some of you Jarheads or Navy brothers from back in the day will also recall the feel, the sounds, vibrations, smells and fears that came with the ride....and I will imagine that the memories are chillingly familiar for Army vets that got hauled around in Chinooks down south. The 46 image was painted in about halfway through the 2 and 1/2 years it took to complete the full painting, Vietnam Elegy.
