USS WASP LHD 1 hosted a retirement celebration, Oct. 15, to honor the ships port engineer - a man who has supported Wasps readiness since its commissioning in 1989. Wasps crew lined the ships brow and Pier 11 in honor of Joseph Patrick Noha Jr.s 25 years of dedicated service as a port engineer. The retirement is Nohas second; his first was in 1985 after 27 years of naval service. This is my ship and you guys are running it, said Noha as he reminisced over his time with Wasp.
