USSuccessCenters daily Column, Wards Words: ~ ~ In Loving Memory ~ ~ This week, we passed another milestone. I have been moved by the outpouring of people sharing the best this country offers while acknowledging those who paid such a terrible price. I awoke this morning with tears in my eyes and wanted to share a few thoughts with you today: Buildings may fall - even icons like our Statue of Liberty may be harmed, but what the terrorists do not comprehend is America is an idea. It is not its buildings or icons. It is a way of life. Freedom is loose in the world since the USA arrived. Even with its internal problems, the idea of America is still present. We may build more buildings. We may erect more icons. We may even have more internal problems, but America is alive and well in the hearts of people who know freedom, who build on its dream, who are acquainted with faith, who strive every day to draw the circle bigger and leave no one out of the blessings of this country. Lets celebrate ALL who have sacrificed for and in our country. We are an amazing people who use our resources to build our people and lead a world which yearns to know what we stand for when standing is the hardest. I give thanks for every blessing we have been given by our Creator. We are not better than other people. That would be arrogant. What we are is a people who call up the best in ourselves and invite everyone to join us. After all, the 1st word in this countrys name is UNITED. Seems funny that we have so many who are using this country to create factions, distractions, separations, divisions, and other weirdnesses which have nothing to do with being UNITED. So, lets bring on this UNITED States of America. There is a place for everyone at its table. Lets call up the best in each of us, and remind ourselves there was a price paid so we could be at the table. God Bless America! - Forrest Allen Ward
