UTAKATAKA EXPRESS SHINNED IN BOKSBURG. The 6th of December 2014 will go a long way in the Utakataka Express fans memories as it was the first day for the Igwee (Peter Dewa Moyo) to stage a show on the South-African soil. As it is our African culture that when a respected figure is on our shores the rain must come dawn.It was evident that the royal blood was in town as the rain started when we were waiting for transport,instead of the rain to dampen the fans spirits it brought joy and I caught one Utakataka fan #Patson Mukuze this is what he said*VaChihera mhondoro yemvura varikutoziva kuti Igwee variku mzansi saka mvura haongaregi kunaya inomira manje manje* and the rain stopped for sure. The Botswana Born dance Queen Slizer was first on stage she did not disappoint she played the songs Bazooker,Slizer 1tym among others but the soft song Tswara Muntu wahau seemed to be the favourate with love birds as they danced softly to the song. The Igwee and Utakataka express raised the bar when they come on stage,When the guys come on stage the full house was ablaze u could see that the pple had been waiting for there favourate band and from the cheers from the full house it wasnt difficult for anyone to figure out that Utakataka yava panyanga. As it is Utakataka culture to start by playing instruments and showing some dance moves Judah and Yamathale showed that they are still in the game. The Igwee did not waste time as he graced the stage with his usual smile he showed a lot of energy as usual and this was proof that the guys meant business. Shiga-Shiga did not come to the show for he had some problems with his passport bt the stand in chanter (Yamathale) did not disappoint his chants accompanied by dance moves was a delight to the fans. Judah was also a stand in for Kuda who didnt come coz he didnt have a passport.Judah showed a lot of energy though he is not back permanently there is still a possibility that he can rejoin Utakataka express as he has shown interest of comming back. As the admins and on behalf of Utakataka fans who graced the show we would like to thank the promoters who brought Utakataka express to S.A &and the band for a first class performance and to to the management team led by Sukol Dube for attending to the fans at the show you made it easy for patrons and please keep up the gud work you showed us kuti Utakataka ndisu vanhu by putting us the fans first. The Utakataka guys are now in Zimbabwe they arrived well and they will be continuing dishing the best. WEEKEND PROGRAMME!!!!
