Ubber tired today so I have a total lack of concentration here at work. I thought Id entertain myself by looking at Highlanders just to see what is out there. Unfortunately there was a decided lack of entertainment and a decided plethora of depression when looking at the price tag of the car I would one day like to get. Why are cars so fricken expensive? And cant I just get a car with the few features I want and not all the stupid tech shit that my vehicle doesnt need in order to perform its one function? It occurs to me that cars are like home cable. You may only want four channels on the tv but you still have to pay for all the other crappy stations youll never watch in the bundle in order to get those four channels. Its the same with cars. The only real features I care about are heated seats and rear climate control. Although Id like the V6 AWD/4WD as well. I dont need a dashboard that connects with every other piece of tech I have. I dont need heated mirrors or a bluray player in the back seat. Why is it that the only two requirements I have that are options require me spending oodles more for a bunch of crap I couldnt care less about? Argh. At this rate Ill never be able to get the car I want with the options I want.
