Udhampur Police foiled new modus operandi of smuggling =>Udhampur Police foiled new modus operandi of smuggling bovine animals after packing them tightly and concealing them under the bags of wheat straw. 10 bovine animals were rescued, 02 bovine smugglers were arrested and vehicle seized.Reports said that Police on a tip off , laid a surprise naka near Sangoor Bridge, National Highway bye pass road Udhampur and intercepted a Truck bearing Registration No. 6933/JK02A, which was on his way towards Srinagar. During the thorough search, the vehicle found loaded with 10 Bovine animals which were tightly packed and concealed under the bags of wheat straw. Both the bovine smuggler namely (1) Mohd Tariq S/O Ab. Rehim R/O Gool Ramban (2) Muzamal Ahmed S/O Ab. Azij R/O Lower Munda, were arrested on the spot and 10 bovine animals were rescued. The was also seized in the case. In this connection, a case FIR No.195/2013 U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur against the above named accused smugglers .
