Uduaghan Inaugurates Multi-Door Court House Governing Council DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has inaugurated the chairman and members of the Governing Council of the state Multi-Door Court House in Asaba. The members include the state Chief Judge, Justice Zai-Laye Abiodun Smith, chairman. Other members are the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Charles Ajuyah (SAN), HRM O bi Efezeimor, Barrister Erebe Omamuzo, Justice Obi, Justice Harriman Barrsiter Ojo among others. Addressing the chairman and members in a brief ceremony, the state governor represented by his Deputy, Professor Amos Utuama (SAN), said the Multi Door Court House is very important in the administration of justice in any given society. He said the law recognizing the Multi Door Court House has been passed by the state House of Assembly to help resolve cases through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the state. According to him “ADR is cheaper, flexible, quicker and less intimidating in the administration of justice” It will equally help to decongest cases in courts and moreover it will attract investors as it will bring about peace in our state adding that with the caliber of persons in the governing council ADR would function well in resolving cases in the state and the desired results achieved, the governor said. Responding on behalf of other members, the chairman of the governing council and Chief Judge of the state, Justice Zai Smith, thanked the state for the opportunity to serve. He promised that they will ensure speedy dispensation of justice and listed some of the things needed to ensure success. In his words “all things been equal, we assure the very best in performing our duties”
