Uduaghan’s aide dumps PDP for SDP THE former Director of Protocol to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, Mr. Godwin Abigor, has finally dumped the his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over alleged criminal substitution of his name as the lawfully elected party flag bearer for the Warri Constituency 1 House of Assembly seat won during the party primaries in the state recently. His name was allegedly substituted by that of a third term seating member of the House, Omawumi Udoh, angling for a fourth term tenure but failed woefully at the party primaries. Godwin Abigor, a former leader of the Warri South Council legislative Chamber told newsmen that that he has all the backing of leaders of his constituency to actualize his mandate from another party since the PDP leadership at Abuja has decided to toy with their votes cast during the primary election, noting that “I am therefore going to realize my mandate by joining the Social Democratic Party (SDP)”. According to him, Mrs. Omawumi Udoh has used her enormous Abuja influence over that of the party leadership in Delta State to overturn the party choice as recorded by all relevant authorities during our primaries. What she has done is open disrespect to Governor Uduaghan who has been her bebefactor all this while. This action is a disgrace to all of us in the constituency and the state in general”, he lamented. The former D.O.P Mrs Omawumi Udoh has pitched tent with those working against the Governor within a short time of political travesty against the Governor, saying that “the only way to bring back smile to the face of the Governor is for me to actual my mandate through other party in the country and am going to Abuja to pick the SDP ticket Monday, then we shall slug it out at the polls during the elections”. He said the Governors travails was most shocking to him as political gladiators who came into lime light through the grace of the Governor has resorted to even abusing him on phone unknowing to them that sometimes the persons on the other end of the call has put his phone on conference and speakers, noting however “that time will separate the men from the boys”
