Bessie Dotson This cause came on to be heard upon this day of Dec 1921 and upon motion of the plaintiff and it appearing to the Court that the defendant Bessie Dotson is regularly before the court by copy and subpoena to answer served on her more than five days before the meeting of this Court and that she has refused and failed to appear and make any defense to the allegations in the bill within the time required by law it is orderd that as to her the complinants bill be taken for confessed and the cause set for hearing ex parte. This cause came on to be further heard upon this the 17th day of Dec 1921 before the Hon. W. L. Cook upon the bill of complainant and the pro confesso heretofore taken and the testimony of witnesses and an agreement heretofore entered in this cause which is as follows: This agreement this day entered into by and between Mrs. Bessie Dotson of White, Bluff, Tennessee and Luther Dotson of the U.S. Army, Witnesseth: Whereas, heretofore on Nov. 26th, 1921 Luther Dotson filed a bill for divorce against Mrs. Bessie Dotson and in said bill he doenst pray for the custody of their child J.W. Dotson. And whereas there is no provision made for said child in any way. It is therefore, agreed by the said Luther Dotson that he hereby waives any right to the custody of said child and hereby agrees that the said Bessie Dotson shall have full custody and control of the said child until he is 21 years of age. It is further agreed by the said Luther Dotson that allotment will be made for the benefit of the said J.W. Dotson of $15.00 per month to be deducted out of his government pay for a period of six months and he hereby authorizes said allotment to be made for the benefit of the said child to be paid to the said mother Mrs. Bessie Dotson. It is further agreed that this agreement will be made a part of the degree in the cause of Luther Dotson Vs. Mrs. Bessie Dotson if a degree is granted in said cause. Luther Dotson Bessie Dotson And it satisfactorily appearing to the Court from the proof that the defendant willfully abandoned the plaintiff and refused to live further with him and that she had no cause nor excuse for said act.
