Uganda Lands Cameroon CAF 2015 Beach Soccer Qualifiers: 1st Round: 1st Leg: 13th – 15th Feb: Cameroon Vs Uganda, 2ND leg (20th – 22nd Feb: Uganda Vs Cameroon) 2nd Round: 1st Leg: 13th- 15th March: Winner Uganda/Cameroon Vs Ghana, 2nd Leg (20th – 22nd March 2015) Final Tournament: 14th -19th April 2015, Seychelles Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Cameroon as Uganda’s first round opponent in the 2015 African nations beach soccer qualifiers. The qualifiers will start with the first round for 10 teams. Uganda Sand Striker, Brian Nkubi is expected to play a significant role for the team as Uganda plays Cameroon in the first round in a two legged affair. The first leg will take place between 13th – 15th Feb 2015 with the second leg coming just after one week. Should Uganda successfully eject Cameroon, they will face another West African nation, Ghana in another two legged qualifier in March 2015. The successful nation will join hosts, Seychelles and 9 other nations for the final tournament due for April 2015. CAF Manager in charge of Competitions Divisions, Ahmed Reda Salem, confirmed the draws; The first round of the CAF 2015 Beach Soccer qualifiers will be played early February with the return leg a week after. The second round begins in Mid March and ends March 22nd 2015. A total of 19 teams will be engaged in the qualification matches over the two rounds. Nine (9) teams were exempted from the first round qualifiers basing on their participation in the 2013 Championships which was hosted in Jadida, Morocco as well as their official ranking. Exempted nations include Senegal, Cote D’Ivoire, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Madagascar, Libya, South Africa and Uganda’s likely second round opponent, Ghana. First Round Draws: Uganda Vs Cameroon Tunisia Vs Mali Sudan Vs Djibouti Mauritius Vs Mozambique Kenya Vs Tanzania. Second Round fixtures: Ivory coast Vs Kenya/Tanzania Morocco Vs Sudan/ Djibouti Tunisia Vs Mali /Senegal Madagasacar Vs South Africa Nigeria Vs Libya Ghana Vs Uganda/ Cameroon.
