Ugghhh! What an experience!! Yesterday I went to Office Max to get a new phone. I thought for sure I should have some MaxPoints money coming so we checked the computer at their store. It said I had $33.00 coming in rewards but that I could not have that until August 1st. So the young man waiting on me suggested he would put a hold on the phone and I could come back to get it then (today). To save $33, of course I agreed. So this morning I thought I would go ahead and print out my rewards before I ran down to the store. Guess what! Now it says I have ZERO rewards coming! WHAT? So I call customer service. That woman insists that I have those rewards coming but cant have them until August 31st. Give me a break! I argued all kinds of ways with her but she was not budging and would NOT put me on the phone with her supervisor either. I finally decided to drive to the store to see what we could do there. I was very kind when I spoke to the store manager, but told her what had happened and that I was not a happy customer. She looked and said that the points expired as of yesterday. That I should have used them yesterday! HELLO?? It was HER employee and their website who told me I could not use them until August 1st!! I explained to her that this had happened one other time at this same store. That time I was told the points would not be good for 2 days yet. So I waited 3 days and then was told that they had expired and there was nothing anyone could do. That was a large amount that time too! I explained firmly but kindly that that was NOT going to happen again. So she finally said that the only thing she could do was to issue me a gift card for the $33. I asked if I could use it immediately and she said yes. So all of that - and I finally ended up with the $33 off of my purchase price, which is all I wanted to begin with! Trust me tho, I have shopped for the very last time ever at Office Max.
