Ugh, just got a phone call from a money lending scammer while on my lunch hour. Definitely did not make my day. Guy says I applied for a $10,000 loan online from Cash America, and need final approval from me. I said I didnt apply for a loan, and to discontinue any such transaction, that it is fraud. Then he says, well dont you want to find out the name of the guy who used your identity?, and I said, no, that not common practice. He says I should find out, and that I should put a refundable amount of $105 on a green dot moneybak card for their fraud dept. to investigate for me. No risk to me, Ill get the money back! I told him no, and bye bye. He told me they would hold the application for only another 2 hours. I laughed. What a load of crap! Nevada Attorney General is being notified! Dont fall for it, friends!
