Ugh, the Black Van lives.. Sandy has been telling me about this van and showing me the different posts that are going around online. So, Ive been following this and I started doing some research just to see if there is a story here and also to see if I should be warning others.. First of all over the last 10 years a lot of major cities have had reports of a suspicious Van at sometime or another, some online say its the Black Van Urban legend.. In Winnipeg you can trace through media reports accounts of people who in the last 2 or 3 years who have encountered a black van. Right now, I see people posting a Black van story on the newsfeed that was from earlier this year in Winnipeg, Feb 19, 2014 and there is another from Nov 29, 2013, both suspects are different, a matter a fact in every reporting of a black van the suspects all have different descriptions. November 19, 2013 in Saskatoon a Black Van is reported with two suspects this time, In Toronto there has been numerous reportings of a Van over the years, but there, its a White cargo van.. all different suspect descriptions as well. Right now, I just followed up on another lead that there was now a suspicious Black Van for sale on Kijiji, turns out, it was a legit deal, he sold it, now people are sending this guy unwanted emails.. but I have too admit the van did look shady but its a cargo van, and all cargo vans look that way.. My point is always be careful, because when I was a teenager, we had a Van in Calgary, it was a Blue one, and he was real. They called him Gypsy and he was known to take native women to his farm and abuse them. At the same time, its dangerous for people to focus all there attention on one Van, you need to be suspicious of everyone. Anyway from what I can see, there are some of Facebooks top internet sleuths on it, all of them on the groups trying to get to the bottom of this.. I would suspect some of them are just adding fuel to the fire. In the meantime as soon as I have something solid to go on, Ill put it out.
