Its disgusting to see the Beltway media pick up this sniveling worms excuse that this bunk he and his ilk just shoved through Congress and which Obama is about to sign is just some tiny little thing. Four years ago, on September 13th, Lehmann Brothers went out of business and kicked off a $17 TRILLION DOLLAR cataclysmic banking crisis which this country STILL has not recovered from. This Omnibus Spending Bill the Senate just passed contains 2 poison pills; 1) it allows banks to once again risk YOUR tax dollars on their insane financial shenanigans, exactly the types which were illegal for the last 5 years because they led directly to the 2008 collapse of firms like Lehman & Bear Stearns, and AIG, and (2) the Republicans just passed the Koch Brothers wet dream which allows states and corporations to cheat current retired pensioners out of their pensions. No debate, no open discussion, just someone (in secret, they dont have to admit who did it) snuck this shit into the must-pass bill and then Congress passed it, and now the entirety of the Middle Class is once again at risk that the idiot savants on Wall Street have suddenly grown up in the last 6 years. Well, guess what, they havent. And if these are SUCH small, inconsequential changes to the law, then why did Wall Street spend a fortune obtaining them, and why was Jamie Dimon calling US Senators at midnight, whipping for votes? We just watched our country get sold to the bankers on a Saturday morning when the Press was off for the weekend. I give it four years before the next round of bank bailouts.
