Uh-oh. I think that I have really done it this time. The boys and I had been out in the yard for a bit. The boys went to the door when they were ready to go in, but I wanted to stay out a bit longer, and Mama allowed me the extra freedom. It was not long before I saw something really interesting and took off into the dark underworld of the bushes that are just on the other side of the property line. I merrily weaved and twisted myself through the brushy labyrinth. Mama tried to follow me but it was just too thick for her to come along. It was wonderful!!! I could see her running circles around the neighborhood, tearing through spider webs made by huuuge banana spiders, frantically trying to find me, and I thought to myself, "But I am just right here, Mama!!! Calm down!!!" At one point, she disappeared for a bit and then Mr. Paul showed up. Dang it all! I was surrounded. After a long game of hide and seek, Mama finally grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and back into the house I went. Shoot. Something tells me that I will not be free to roam at will in the yard for a very long time.
