Uh oh. Its happening again. No matter how poorly we perform as a franchise, year after year, I return to FedEx to watch the Deadskins. The only thing worse is that Im excited. Again. Like, really excited. This is our year. Its a new team. Every Redskins fan is in denial. We all have some deep-seated psychological problem that keeps convincing us that one year, a Super Bowl parade will shutdown the greater metropolitan area while joy-riots destroy the rest of the DMV. Usually we play coy, burying our true feelings in public, moderating our levels of delusion. But the moment people like Andrew Kristobek, Brendan Edwards, Nick Dugan and I are behind closed doors, a burden is lifted. We can finally discuss this years Redskins Super Bowl win, and other facts. People like Ryan Dougherty and Chris Mudd are too level-headed, informed and veteran to say it out loud. But in our heart of hearts, the idea of RG3, Pierre and De$ean on the field at the same time make us all passengers to our emotions. Despite my lifetime hatred of Deon Primetime Sanders, I think he did well also. This is our year. Its a new team. You cant double cover everybody.
