Ukhrul: 17 September 2014 2 Killed And 2 Injured In A Bomb Blast Today at about 05:30pm, there was a bomb blast at Neetu Glass & Hardware Store, Viewland, Ukhrul. 2 died and 2 persons are reportedly injured. The deceased have been identified as Miss Lansophy Tangvah (23 yrs) daughter of W. Tangvah of Nungbi Khullen Village, Ukhrul District, Manipur and her aunt Miss AS. Dinah, former President of Tangkhul Shanao Long. Miss Dinah was referred to Imphal for further treatment. She suffered multiple shrapnel injuries on her face and neck. However, it is reported that she died on the way after crossing Ramva. The other two injured have been identified as the proprietor of the shop Mr. Rajendra Chaudhury and his salesman. Rajendra suffered multiple shrapnel injuries on both his legs whereas the salesman with hit by shrapnel on the chest. They are being treated at CHSRC and are said to be out of danger. According to witnesses, Miss Lansophy and Miss Dinah were passing by the shop when the bomb exploded. No group has claimed responsibility at the time of filing this report.
