Ukraine has calmed down slightly. The new Ukrainian president - TopicsExpress

Ukraine has calmed down slightly. The new Ukrainian president declared a unilateral last week in an attempt to get the rebels to the negotiating table. It worked a little, but its unclear who really has the ability to stop the military violence on the pro-Russian side. Meanwhile, Vlad the Annexer has asked the Russian parliament (Duma) to repeal the blanket permission they gave Putin to invade Ukraine. Sounds like a positive move until you hear that Russia has a large number of Central Russian troops on combat alert and also has moved more troops to the Ukraine border. Clearly the Duma move is just PR. While the politicians play their games people are still dying on both sides. Its fair to blame Putin for all the deaths. He invaded Crimea and Ukraine. He urged on the separatist movement in the Donbass (eastern Ukraine). He facilitated the forming of the proxy army in the Donbass (much of it Russian citizens and army vets). He instructed the Russian border guards to look the other way when troops and hardware crossed the border. The blood is on his hands. The article Im linking to shows the degree to which Russias fingers are all over the Ukrainian fiasco. It also shows the exploitation of Russian vets and the pain their families are experiencing. My prayer is that God intervenes and removes Putin from power for the welfare of the Russian people. theguardian/world/2014/jun/27/ukraine-donetsk-airport-russia-fighter?CMP=twt_gu
