Ultimate happiness... A handmade ring carved by a local Tasmanian man who builds boats from old pieces of wood - his first ever ring, designed by my love, to give to me. A 300-year-old piece of ebony (the traditional material of black piano keys) teamed with the inside of a Torres Strait pearl shell, nestled inside a hand carved box made of Huon Pine. This morning, amongst the beauty of the thick, Tasmanian wilderness, I was given an engagement ring like no other Ive ever seen before. Made with so much love, care and thought. I most definitely accepted
