Ultra modern market complex for Amasaman Work has begun on an ultra-modern market at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region with the Regional Minister Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo performing the ground-breaking ceremony. The project forms part of government’s effort to build and refurbish the various markets within the capital. The project would give a facelift to the municipality and also give renewed hope and opportunities to increase investment and grow the local economy. The phase one of the two Block project is estimated at GH 900,000.00 which will house 108 shops, 16 large Halls suitable for banks, Restaurants. The government-financed project also has 60 washrooms to enhance sanitation in the market.
