Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (Radiallahu anhu) said: “Islam will be destroyed by the mistakes of scholars, the arguments of the hypocrites who misinterpret the Qur’an to support their views and misleading rulers.” (Mahd as-Sawab, 2/717 ) How true is this statement? We are seeing Umar (Radiallahu Anhu’s) words come true! We see so much division in the Muslim world today because of these so-called scholars of Islam who are advising Muslim leaders of Muslim countries. We are seeing this miss-guidance, with states like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Iran. They call themselves “Islamic” nations but make laws which only fit their desires and the Muslim scholars either turn a blind eye to what these rulers do or they give their fatwas to support their actions. Islam is slowly being destroyed. In this age and the system of Dajjal (the false messiah) , we see that Islamic values are almost non-existent even in the Muslim world. We are seeing a steady decline of Islam in these “so-called” Islamic republics.
