Unbelievable - weve been working on behalf of brats for over 15 years and cant even get a seat at the table. This woman, who takes it upon herself to redefine a culture (of which she is not a part) and write a book based on other peoples research (to which she gives no credit) - and she gets the First Lady to endorse her with a video?! She took everything I discussed with her on the phone one night and pretended it was hers. Every one of these initiatives were initiatives I told her about that weve been working on for years. Vice President of The Little CHAMPS Initiative Operation CHAMPS June 2010 – Present (4 years 6 months)|DC / MD / VA area 2014 UPDATE: Collaborate with Joining Forces of the White House, wherein the First Lady of the US recorded a video for Operation CHAMPS to share with Champs overseas during our USO Tours. Oversee programmatic research, development, and implementation; coalition-building, peer review process, production, and distribution of the endearing, patriotic childrens book The Little CHAMPS – Child Heroes Attached to Military Personnel, the cornerstone of The Little CHAMPS Initiative. We deliver support, comfort, and gratitude to our Nations Champs; and elevate Civic Literacy and understanding among their civilian classmates and teachers. Our reach is global, national, and local. Our twofold mission: a) to provide Champs with coping tools to help them face their respective challenges, while celebrating their service to our country; and b) to raise awareness among civilian children about the lives of their military-connected peers. Our initiative builds a bridge of understanding between the civilian and military worlds. NEXT STEPS IN THIS PUBLIC HEALTH and EDUCATION INITIATIVE: 1) To edu-tain through additional USO Tours (Our Operation CHAMPS / USO Tours and our edu-tainment and books deliver support, comfort, and gratitude to (to date) ~13,000 Champs in Japan / Okinawa, South Korea, Germany, and Italy. Thanks to the USO, Champs we meet receive a copy of our book). 2) To grow our Best Practice, turnkey School CHAMPkit Program, growing implementation from its current seven states to 50 states. 3) To spearhead a National CHAMPS Day, celebrated in each state. This is our response to the White House document (2011), highlighting that Champs in public schools feel their civilian classmates and teachers do not understand what they are going through. Through the Little CHAMPS Education Initiative, we are changing this sentiment. Child by child. Classroom by classroom. School by school. State by state. Together we can, because together we must.
