Unbelievable I am on a phone conversation and also looking for information on FaceBook when I notice something that literally took the breath from me: the passing of a family friend LaWanda Reynolds. For those of you who didnt know her, she was our liaison with the city of Long Beach during the events surrounding the death of my brother Daryle Black. Although my brother passed 14 years ago, she remained close to us at all times, exhibiting the love of Christ in all that she did to current times. I was looking forward to spending time with here in California, literally planning on heading to Long Beach this weekend. However, she had passed days ago....and her memorial service is Monday. People, life has two things that we really have no control over: when we are born, and when we die. On a tombstone, we have the year we are born and the year of our death...and the dash. The dash represents the days of life that we do have a form of control over. Live each day to the fullest, giving God all of the glory, honor and praise. I can say that LaWanda Reynolds led such a life. LaWanda, because of your profession for Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I know that you are now in Heaven, no more pain. We may weep for a moment for you leaving us but rejoice in knowing that you are now Home.
