Unbelievable. So the Comcast tech comes. The line in my bedroom is DEAD. The only jack that works is at the OPPOSITE end of the apartment. Turns out you can assign the cable feed to only one jack at a time. OOOOOKKKKK.... The bedroom line simply doesnt work so we routed it to the cable jack on the north wall of the great room (which is the south wall of the bedroom) and I ran about 25 feet of ethernet cable from the router to the computer (which doesnt have wireless capability). And THEN when we open Chrome it goes to Xfinity Activation and wont let me in because apparently I have been assigned a new account that I didnt know about!!!! I was livid, the poor tech had to listen to me swear a blue streak about waiting two weeks and though part of the problem was HERE, the MAJORITY of the problem was COMCAST. So I called Comcast but didnt see that he was calling too. Before I got through to customer service he was back with my new account info and (as you can see) it is now up and running. THANK YOU!!!!! Called Comcast and gave the tech a BIG A-plus for his help, and the company and F for getting things running at my new digs ONLY after multiple calls and TWO WEEKS after the move (when Id ordered the change three weeks PRIOR to the move). BTW the tech had issues with his cell too. So it looks like I may be taking the Comcast phone service so I have a reliable landline.
