Unbelievable story - These two dogs who lived in a trailer park complex were taken by their owner and dumped at the South Mountain reserve as the man decided he no longer wanted them. He went home and bragged to the neighbors about abandoning them. The dogs miraculously found their way back miles and miles to their “home” at the trailer park only to find their “owner” would not let them back in and refused to feed them. The neighbors in this area actually make a game out of trying to run over the stray dogs and a caring and concerned resident of the trailer park has been feeding them and giving them blankets to rest on at night. For weeks, she has been reaching out to many rescues in the Valley to get help with this situation. We were contacted yesterday about this and now AAWL and Caring for Canines are making it happen to rescue these dogs. We will keep you posted with more information. They are supposedly extremely sweet – one male and one female. The male has scarring on his head from when hot grease was “accidentally” spilled on him as a puppy. The female obviously has had a litter of puppies. We think they are ready for someone to finally treat them the way they should have always been treated!!! We are happy to be able to give them what they should have always had!
