Uncertainty continues in where that southwest cutoff will be - TopicsExpress

Uncertainty continues in where that southwest cutoff will be across the Delmarva. Multiple news outlets and even the National Weather Service have opted to lower totals across the region as the eventual fate of how far south and west the snow bands will get remains uncertain. Nowcasting a storm like this is difficult and it is truly a waiting game now, whatever happens happens. My forecast totals could very well be too high, monitoring the weather situation closely is all I can do and things looked fine in the beginning but are becoming increasingly uncertain as time progresses. Monitoring the progress of the farthest west snow band shows it drying out as it heads west through Burlington county NJ but with other bands behind it maintaining intensity. I cannot tell what will unfold overnight, but I can tell you this storm is truly the hardest storm Ive forecasted. I hope for the storm to perform as expected, but latest model guidance is not too supportive. I hope you all can understand that this storm is very complex and the situation currently occurring is unusual. Please bear with me as we head through the overnight hours! --Adam
