Unconditional Love …the Mystery In our programs and for us to - TopicsExpress

Unconditional Love …the Mystery In our programs and for us to receive the gifts in life the 12 Steps provide, we must learn a behavior alien to us all … when we first arrive. It is called “unconditional love”. When we enter Recovery, we are broken people who are self-centered, egotistical, dishonest, immoral, lying pieces of human waste. And this is the lesser evil of us. We have lived in a society based on making profit from one another at any cost to the other. The Native American peoples found out all about what making profit at the cost of the others was all about long ago, when their communal culture was almost completely eradicated from the face of the Earth. Those surviving were only allowed to do so … only if they embraced this evil way of living. For you see, on the most part Native Americans …knew of and applied “unconditional love” love for one another and this was at the foundation of the attempted genocide. For us… those whom willingly pursue Recovery, we must seek god’s help in acquiring the ability to cast off all our character defects which prevent us from living in harmony with all people on this Earth … the rest of our family. Unconditional love is not a difficult thing to understand! It simply means to love each other without reservation, even when those around us are still trapped in denial and act out only in evil ways. It means we must learn to forgive people for all the nastiness and harm they do and their attempts to infect others… for… “none are so blind as those who CHOOSE not to see”. Those of us on the spiritual path must have faith and love these unsighted people enough to patiently extend love to them at times we least desire to … arboring hope …the light of Recovery will open their eyes soon and our family will be united once again with love as the bond. Namaste…Shalom…Salem Aleichem…god bless…live with love…family
