Uncovering Melanin pt1 Trying to find genuine information about melanin is very difficult. Most sites will dance around the subject and only relate it to skin pigmentation..which makes no sense when you really look into it. Many will deceitfully try to disassociate melanin from melatonin in an attempt to hold back facts not benefiting them, but if you keep digging you will find verifiable facts. This explains why blacks, in general, are better in sports - which is the only form of human competition that is true and not controlled. I could go on and on... Although I firmly believe that nobody or no people are better than another people, as far as in pride, but time out for trying to hold on to the myth that we are all the same under the skin in the name of unity. The devil is a lie! We just have to respect our differences. God dont make no mistakes that we have to cover up. And before we go on, any claims of black supremacist on these posts are disregarded. These are facts we need to know....period. Melanin is a difference maker. Real talk This may be the difference between life and death for many blacks if we dont embrace these facts about yourself! Your body is different....and you need to understand how. We will discuss this more later... This is what I found about melatonin and melanin: The pineal gland secretes melatonin which activates the pituitary gland to release melanocyte stimulating hormone. It is in the melanocytes that melanin is produced. (source:mela-nina.blogspot/2009/01/relationship-with-melanin-melatonin.html) Melanin is a biopolymer and a neuropeptide. In the early 1970s, researchers found melanin to be an organic semiconductor (Science, vol 183, 853-855 (1974)). Studies revealed that melanin acted as an electrical threshold switch, emitting a flash of light—electroluminescence—when it switched. Though the findings were published, these findings largely were overlooked. Melanin influences neural activity and mediates the conduction of radiation, light, heat and kinetic energy. As such, it is the subject of intense interest in biotech research and development, most notably in organic electronics. (source:experiencefestival/a/Melanin_-_Physical_properties_and_technological_applications/id/1372005) Black skin is high in melatonin and it looks like this is an advantage for both health and enlightenment: “The incidence of roentgenologically visible pineal gland calcification is approximately twice as common in American whites as in blacks, a difference that is very striking after age 40. Comparison of this finding with reports in the literature shows that the incidence of pineal gland calcification is slightly higher in American blacks than in indigenous Africans, probably due to racial mixture among the American blacks we studied.” (Source - ajronline.org/doi/abs/10.2214/ajr.122.3.503) Be Blessed!
