Under 12s update: Well what a game, had everything! Fleetdown 2-2 Meridian in the aqua shield. A win would of guaranteed our place in the final, so now waiting on the results to come in over next couple of weeks. Today had teamwork, good football, plenty of battle and fight and allot of wind. One nil up after George won the tackle and found himself through on goal, shot with power keeper saved and Callum followed it up sticking the ball in off his right foot. Just before high time a missed tackle and poor clearance finds the Meridian left winger, who brings it down and hits on the volley across Ben to find the net. 1-1 Second half against the wind made it tougher, then harder still when the ref plays on after a push on Sam goes unnoticed the ball finds its way in our box and Meridian squeeze the ball in the net to make it 1-2. Handy for us and with the ref near to blowing the whistle, Jack delivers a cross deep into the box and as the defending Meridian tries to clear he smashes it to his own goal. 2-2 At the re start ref blows his whistle for full time, Lady Luck was watching us there. Well done boys, really good chance of making the final, eyes waiting for the other results now!
