Under 15 Hurling County Final Pearses under 15 Hurlers played St Dominics in the under 15 County final at Pairc an Phiarsaigh on Tuesday evening last. The home side started brightly with three points before Dominics opened their account. Pearses held a three point lead at the quarter hour mark when Dominics struck with a close-in goal. Pearses managed to restore a one point lead at half time 0-6 to 1-2. Dominics shocked the Pearses Lads with two goals in the first eight minutes of the second half and lead by four mid way through the half. Both teams traded points until, with less than six minutes remaining Pearses finally found the net with a pair of goals within 2 minutes. they survived a fierce final few minutes when St Dominics fought to level the score but were foiled by a tenacious Pearses defence it ended Pearses 2-11 St Dominics 3-5. Congrats to both teams on a very hard fought and enjoyable specacle. Thanks to Alan Glynn and Tom Costello for their continuing good work with this team.
