Under Armour Australia O School - Done and Dusted Firstly...thanks to you ALL for your amazing support leading up to, during and after this epic Journey...I had tears in my eyes reading ALL your messages. Special thanks to my amazing wife Shiny for believing in me and ALL the crazy things I chose to do. Nearly 40 finalists gathered early Saturday morning at Sydney Central Statiom...Destination...Unknown...! Their mission...to survive and complete any task that Chie F Brabon and HOOYAH Gunny Brabon could throw at you with INTEGRITY...! We arrived at Berry, NSW mid morning at which stage we were removed from the outside world...for the next 25 hours we would not know the time, have any contact with anyone outside the camp or sleep...but with the amount of energy there who needed to sleep...! What were we there for...? To work as a group through team work and camaraderie to survive the next 25 hours with an opportunity to make Team Australia and compete at Worlds Toughest Mudder in Vegas. After being introduced to our amazing Coaches, Minions (support crew), Doc and a briefing on what to expect the fun and games begun. What did we do...? - 5km Group Run to introduce us to a lap we would see many times over. - 5 Hours continuous cross country running over the same 5km course as many times as possible through fields, river banks, under and over abstacles and through mud...of course...! - 2 Hours of partner running with Sandbags and Running and lots of high 5s and OORAHs - 2 1/2 Hours of Suicide Pcyshosis...continuous partner suicide runs and 8 point push ups. - 3 Hours of Team based race climbing up walls, ladders, ropes and poles. - 2 Hours of Team based strength circuit...consisting of overhand pull ups, sandbag presses, bench dips, underhand pull ups, sandbag upright rows, push ups...and just a little more running. - 2 Hours of continuous Bear crawls and Push Ups. We had to Bear Crawl 10m then do 50 Push Ups, Bear Crawl 10m then do 49 Push Ups, Bear Crawl 10m then do 48 Push Ups...and so on...and all we were allowed to say was I LOVE THIS after each bear crawl. We were saved when the first team member got down to 25...OUCH - 2 1/2 Hours of Team based running around the same circuit we started with working together as a team...followed by... - 2 1/2 Hours straight away of solo running to finish off the 25 hours. Well over 100km run in total...!!! A huge congratulations to EVERYONE who showed amazing support, motivation and team work and at ALL times with INTEGRITY...! Thanks to our amazing coaches Chief and Gunny who were tough but always supportive throughout the weekend...you both managed to get the best and most out of some incredibly talented athletes. You should both be very proud of what you have put together. Thanks to ALL the athletes who gave 100% and showed amazing team work, support and camaraderie at all times...MACHINES...! Thanks to DOC who managed to keep so many of us out on the course at all times of the day and night...and sorry you had to get so close to my groin but you got me through the run...Ill be better prepared next time. Thanks to the amazing Minions who supported and cheered at all times, kept us fed with whatever we desired and kept us entertained...even dancing to Eye Of The Tiger before our final 5 hour run...! What was the hardest part of the 25 hours...? Putting up with chaffing to my groin so bad it was bleeding and never knowing the time throughout the 25 hours...just mean and nasty...but mind testing. Congratulations again to ALL and thanks for a TOUGH but REWARDING weekend...! Loved every minute of it...!
