Under pressure. Once you reach a certain age in life, your parents, especially your moms start asking you, Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend?. Of course, you know what its all about. Then follows the emotional blackmail and counter-answers: 1. The classic, Im getting old, I dont know when Ill die, I want to at least see my grandchidren before I die, -mom, everyone dies, life is so uncertain, who knows if I die before you do. 2. The sad reminder, Youre getting old, now is the right time to get married, -Im trying to get married mom, I went to the church too but they told me that I need to bring a bride first to get married. 3. As if your parents are not enough, your friends, colleagues and seniors who are already married tell you, You have to marry now, how will you take care of your kids when you grow old and dont have the strength to work anymore?, -Hello? If they grow up, theyll start working and take care of themselves. Nobody died because their parents married too late. 4. The embarrassing, I met this wonderful girl, she has a good job, shes charming and shes so pretty that youll definitely fall for her, -If you like her so much why dont you marry her? Its a huge ego-buster when your mom thinks that you cant find a good life partner on your own. The way I see it, the marriageable ones are already married, the good ones are taken and the available ones are too busy or too choosy.
